From Inside the Shop:
What is the Custom Computer Process Like?
Ordering
When you reach out to us about purchasing a new computer, we will ask you about what you need the computer to do, specific programs or use cases you have, your aesthetics preferences (if any), and what kind of budget you have in mind. Knowing a budget gives us something to shoot for, as the sky really can be the limit when it comes to parts cost!

Choosing a Chassis
If you have any aesthetic preferences, we'll start by picking a case for your computer. Casey will shop for cases that provide proper airflow, fit within space constraints you may have, have room for future upgrades if desired, and be something you'll like to look at for years to come. She'll send you a selection of cases that fit the bill, and if you hate all of them, she'll go back to the drawing board!
Proposal Writing
Casey will write up a proposal (or two, or three) to give you an idea of what she can build. This will include the list of components that would be used for your new computer, an estimation of how long parts and assembly will take, and the final price.

Revising the Proposal
Since we are truly building custom computers, sometimes there are some changes you may want to see in a proposal. Whether you're rethinking your budget, want to explore a different processor brand or case, or anything other reason, we can make changes to your proposals as needed!

Pre-payment
We do request pre-payment so we can get parts on order. We accept cash, check, and card, though card transactions have a 4% fee through our processor and can add time to the estimated delivery date while the transaction is being processed.

Assembly
Once all the parts arrive, Casey will assemble the computer and make sure everything is running smoothly.

Setup and Data Transfer
After assembly, we will let you know we're ready to transfer your data to the new computer. This part will run similarly to our comprehensive data transfer. We'll also removing any old drivers and software that don't apply to the new computer, as well as update the system to Windows 11, if applicable.

Remote Printer Setup
If your printer doesn't "just work," we can connect with you remotely to see if it needs reinstalled or settings adjusted.

Warranty Work
All our new computers come with a 1 Year Parts & Service warranty. This covers in-shop and remote support for anything little thing that might come up with your new computer. Even if your computer is past the warranty period, we still prioritize 765Tech builds for diagnostics, repair, and service. We design all builds for repairability and upgradability, so it's not unusual for a 765Tech tower to stay relevant for several years before needing any upgrades.
